Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates were required to satisfy one of the following qualification conditions:
- BSc Nursing, BSc (Hons) Nursing or Post-Basic BSc Nursing from an institution recognised by the Indian Nursing Council or the relevant State Nursing Council.
- Registration as a Nurse and Midwife with the Indian Nursing Council or a State Nursing Council.
- Alternatively, a diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from a recognised institution, along with valid Nurse and Midwife registration.
- GNM-qualified candidates must generally possess two years of relevant experience in a hospital with at least 50 beds after acquiring the prescribed qualification.
- Candidates must produce original qualification, registration and experience certificates during document verification.
Age Limit
- The general age range for Nursing Officer recruitment is usually 18 to 30 years, subject to the institution-wise conditions in the detailed notice.
- The crucial date for calculating age will be the date specified in the recruitment notification.
- Upper-age relaxation applies to SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories under Central Government rules.
- Applicants claiming relaxation must provide a valid category or service certificate in the prescribed format.

Selection Process
- Stage I Preliminary Examination: Candidates will take a computer-based screening test on September 12, 2026. Performance in this stage will determine eligibility for the next phase.
- Stage II Main Examination: Shortlisted candidates will appear for the main computer-based examination, which will assess nursing knowledge and other notified subjects in greater depth.
