Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must possess a three-year Diploma in Civil Engineering from an institute recognised by the government, AICTE or the competent technical education authority.
  • A diploma obtained through an unrecognised institution or an invalid mode of study may not be accepted.
  • Applicants must have held the required qualification by the eligibility cut-off date specified in the detailed recruitment advertisement.
  • Candidates called for document verification must produce original diploma certificates, mark sheets and other supporting records.

Age Limit

  • The standard age requirement was 18 to 40 years, calculated on the cut-off date mentioned in the recruitment notification.
  • Upper-age relaxation is applicable to SC, ST, OBC/MOBC, persons with benchmark disabilities and other eligible categories under Assam government rules.

Selected Junior Engineers are generally appointed in the Assam government pay scale of ₹14,000 to ₹70,000, along with the applicable grade pay and allowances under departmental rules.
