Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must possess the degree or subject-specific qualification prescribed in the original BPSC Research Officer recruitment notification.
  • The required qualification must have been obtained from a university or institution recognised by the competent authority.
  • Applicants should consult the detailed advertisement for requirements concerning relevant disciplines, minimum marks, experience or postgraduate study, where applicable.
  • Release of the OMR sheet does not reopen recruitment or permit new candidates to apply. Access is intended for candidates who appeared in the examination.

Age Limit

  • The minimum and maximum age limits will be governed by the original Research Officer advertisement.
  • Age relaxation for candidates belonging to SC, ST, EBC, BC, women, persons with benchmark disabilities and other eligible categories will apply under Bihar government rules.
  • The OMR-sheet notice does not modify the previously announced age conditions or eligibility cut-off date.

Fees

  • The examination fee was payable at the time of submitting the original online application, as specified category-wise in the recruitment advertisement.
  • Candidates can generally view or download their scanned OMR sheet without paying a fresh application fee.
  • If BPSC prescribes an objection or representation fee, the applicable amount and payment method will be displayed in the official notice or candidate portal.
  • Any payment should be made only through the authorised BPSC online facility.

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination: Candidates appear for the objective or written examination prescribed for the Research Officer post. The released OMR sheet relates to responses recorded during this stage.
  2. Interview or Further Assessment: Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the written examination may be called for an interview or another assessment, subject to the recruitment rules.
  3. Document Verification and Final Merit: Educational certificates, category documents and other eligibility records are verified before preparation of the final selection list.

Candidates should note that challenging an OMR entry does not guarantee a change. BPSC will examine valid representations and take the final decision.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the BPSC official website at bpsc.bihar.gov.in.
  2. Open the latest notices, examination updates or candidate login section on the homepage.
  3. Select the link titled Research Officer OMR Sheet 2026, scanned OMR sheet or objection portal.
  4. Enter the required credentials, which may include the registration number, roll number, date of birth or password.
  5. Verify the candidate’s name, roll number, booklet series and examination details before downloading the sheet.
  6. Save the OMR sheet as a PDF and compare the displayed responses carefully with the relevant records.
  7. If an entry appears incorrect, use the designated objection link and choose the question or response concerned. Upload supporting material in the prescribed format, if required.
  8. Pay the objection fee, where applicable, and submit the representation before the deadline. Download the acknowledgement or transaction receipt for future reference.

Candidates facing login problems should first confirm that the details match those printed on their admit card. They should also try an updated browser, clear the cache and avoid repeated payment attempts until the previous transaction status has been checked.
