Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants must have passed the Intermediate or Class 12 examination from a recognised board.
  • Candidates holding an equivalent qualification recognised by the Bihar government were also eligible to apply.
  • The prescribed educational qualification had to be completed by the cut-off date mentioned in the recruitment notification.
  • Original mark sheets, certificates and other eligibility documents must be produced during Document Verification.

Age Limit

  • The minimum age for all applicants was 18 years.
  • The upper age limit was 25 years for unreserved male candidates.
  • The upper limit was relaxed to 27 years for BC/EBC male candidates and 28 years for BC/EBC female candidates.
  • SC and ST candidates were eligible up to 30 years, subject to the notification’s conditions.
  • Category, domicile and date-of-birth certificates will be checked at the DV stage. Any discrepancy may result in disqualification.

Fees

  • General, EWS, BC, EBC and eligible applicants outside the concession categories: ₹675.
  • Bihar SC/ST candidates and female candidates covered by the fee concession: ₹180.
  • Applicable online payment or banking charges may have been collected separately.
  • The application fee, once submitted, was generally non-refundable.

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination: Applicants first appeared for an objective written examination. The written test was qualifying in nature and was used to shortlist candidates for the physical stage.
  2. Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test and Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must meet the prescribed height and chest standards, complete the applicable running, high-jump and shot-put events, and present original certificates for verification.
  3. Medical Examination and Final Selection: Candidates clearing the physical and document checks may be called for medical examination. Final selection will be prepared under the applicable recruitment rules and category-wise vacancy position.

How to Apply

The online application window is closed. Registered candidates can now download the PST/DV admit card by following these steps:

  1. Visit the CSBC Bihar official website at csbc.bihar.gov.in.
  2. Open the Bihar Police section displayed on the homepage.
  3. Select the link for the Constable GD PST/DV Admit Card 2026 under Advertisement No. 01/2025.
  4. Enter the required credentials, such as registration number, mobile number, date of birth and captcha code.
  5. Submit the details and verify the candidate’s name, roll number, photograph, test date, reporting time and venue.
  6. Download the hall ticket and print at least two clear copies for future reference.
  7. Carry the admit card, an original photo ID, recent photographs and all educational, category, domicile and other certificates specified in the instructions.
  8. Reach the centre before the reporting deadline. Candidates should not carry mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators or other prohibited items.

If the admit card contains an incorrect photograph, name, category or date of birth, candidates should contact CSBC through the official communication channel without waiting for the test date.
