Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed the Intermediate or Class 12 examination from a recognised board or institution.
  • An equivalent qualification recognised by the Bihar government may also be accepted, subject to the recruitment rules.
  • Applicants must possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle or Heavy Motor Vehicle driving licence, as required in the detailed advertisement.
  • The driving licence must have been issued within the prescribed period before the recruitment cut-off date.
  • Candidates appearing for the HMV DET should carry their original, valid driving licence. An expired, suspended or otherwise invalid licence may lead to disqualification.

Age Limit

Selection Process

  2. Physical and Driving Tests: Shortlisted candidates undergo the Physical Efficiency Test and the prescribed Driving Efficiency Test, including practical evaluation of vehicle control, road awareness and driving ability.

  2. Find the Driver Constable recruitment link and read the detailed advertisement, eligibility conditions and instructions. The original online application window has already closed.
  3. Candidates who applied within the deadline should open the latest link titled HMV DET revised schedule, candidate list or admit card.
  4. Enter the required credentials, such as registration number, mobile number, date of birth or password, to access the candidate dashboard.
  5. Download the revised schedule and admit card, if released separately. Confirm the test date, reporting time, roll number and venue.
  6. Print at least two copies of the admit card. Carry one copy along with a valid photo ID, original driving licence and other documents listed in the notice.
  7. Reach the test centre well before the reporting deadline. Late entry, failure to produce the original licence or non-compliance with instructions may result in cancellation of candidature.
