Overview

The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur will conduct the Joint Admission Test for Masters (IIT JAM) 2027 for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate science programmes at participating institutes. This is an admission examination rather than a recruitment drive, so there are no posts or job vacancies; the programme-wise seat matrix will be released separately in the official admission brochure.

Candidates will be able to register, pay the examination fee, upload documents and check their application status through the JAM Online Application Processing System. Applicants should read the official information brochure before submitting the form.

  • Additional charges may apply for corrections or changes submitted after the application form has been filed.
  • The examination fee is normally non-refundable, except under circumstances expressly stated by the conducting institute.

Selection Process

  1. Computer-Based Test: Registered candidates must appear for the IIT JAM 2027 examination in the selected test paper or papers.
  2. Merit and Rank: Scores will be evaluated to prepare test paper-wise All India Ranks. Merely qualifying does not automatically guarantee admission.
  3. Admission Process: Qualified candidates must submit a separate admission application and participate in the allotment process. Offers will depend on rank, category, programme preference, seat availability and institute-specific eligibility.
