Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidate must have cleared Class V from a government school or a recognized private school for the academic year 2025-26.
  • Candidates appearing in Class V and expecting to pass before the exam are also eligible to apply.

Age Limit

  • The candidate must be between 9 and 13 years of age as on the last date of application submission.
  • Age relaxation is not applicable for any category.
  • Candidate should have studied in Class V for the full academic year in the same district where the JNV is located.

Fees

  • No application fee for all categories — General, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS candidates can apply free of cost.
  • Candidates are advised not to pay any money to agents or middlemen for application submission.

Selection Process

  1. JNVST Written Exam: The selection is based on a single written test conducted offline in the candidate's respective district. The exam is of 100 marks with a duration of 2 hours.
  2. Merit List Preparation: A merit list is prepared based on the candidate's performance in the written test, subject to qualifying marks.
  3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must verify their documents at the respective JNV campus before final admission.
