Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Pass) or its equivalent from a recognized board.
  • For certain posts such as Track Maintainer Grade-IV, candidates must possess an ITI certificate in relevant trades in addition to the 10th pass requirement.
  • The final year/semester students are not eligible to apply for this recruitment.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 36 Years (as per revised RRB rules)
  • Age Relaxation: Applicable as per government norms:

- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years

- SC/ST: 5 Years

- PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities): 10 Years (additional relaxation for other categories)

- Ex-Servicemen: 3 Years (after deduction of service rendered)

- Jammu & Kashmir Migrants: 5 Years

Selection Process

The selection process for RRB Group D CEN 09/2025 consists of multiple stages:

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT): A single-stage objective-type exam with 100 questions covering General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness. The exam duration is 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD candidates with scribe).
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Successful candidates from the CBT are called for a physical test involving a 35-metre race (men) or 100-metre run (women), along with a standard lifting of 35 kg (men) or 20 kg (women). Candidates must be medically fit to qualify.
  3. Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination: The final stage involves verification of educational certificates, age proof, caste certificates, and other documents. Candidates must also pass the prescribed medical fitness standards (A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2, C-1, C-2 categories as per the post).

The final merit list will be prepared based on CBT performance, PET qualification, and medical fitness status.

How to Apply

Since the application window is now closed, candidates who have already applied can follow these steps to access further updates:

  1. Visit the Official RRB Website: Go to rrbcdg.gov.in or the respective regional RRB website.
  2. Navigate to the CEN 09/2025 Section: Click on the 'CEN 09/2025' or 'Group D' link available on the homepage.
  3. Download the Revised Exam Schedule: Check the notification PDF for the detailed CBT schedule, city intimation, and admit card release dates.
  4. Check City Slip: The city intimation slip will be released approximately 10 days before the exam. Log in using your registration number and date of birth to download it.
  5. Download Admit Card: Once released, the admit card (e-call letter) can be downloaded from the official website. It is mandatory to carry a printed copy along with a valid photo ID to the exam centre.
  6. Keep Documents Ready: Ensure you have your application ID, registration number, and a valid photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID) handy for all future login processes.

Yes, one-third (0.33) mark is deducted for each wrong answer in the CBT. Unanswered questions carry no negative marking.
