Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised university or institution.
- Candidates applying for Junior Account Assistant cum Typist and Senior Clerk cum Typist must possess the prescribed typing proficiency in English or Hindi.
- The required qualification must have been completed by the eligibility cut-off date stated in CEN 06/2025.
- Candidates awaiting their final degree results by the prescribed cut-off date are not eligible unless permitted by the detailed notification.
Age Limit
- The general age range is 18 to 33 years, calculated with reference to the cut-off date specified in the notification.
- Relaxation in the upper age limit applies to SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories under central government rules.
- Date of birth must match the candidate’s matriculation or Class 10 certificate.
Fees
- General, OBC and EWS candidates: ₹500.
- SC, ST, PwBD, women, transgender, ex-servicemen, minority and eligible Economically Backward Class candidates: ₹250.
- The applicable portion of the fee is refundable after appearing in the first-stage CBT, subject to bank charges and notification conditions.
- Payment was accepted online through the options available on the application portal.
Selection Process
- First and Second Stage Computer Based Tests: Eligible applicants first appear for CBT-1. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of normalised CBT-1 marks are called for CBT-2, which is used for post-wise shortlisting.
- CBAT or Computer Based Typing Skill Test: Station Master candidates must qualify the Computer Based Aptitude Test. Applicants for designated typing posts must clear the Computer Based Typing Skill Test. These tests are conducted only for posts where the relevant skill is mandatory.
- Document Verification and Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates undergo verification of original certificates and the prescribed railway medical fitness examination before final appointment. Selection remains provisional until all eligibility conditions are verified.

- Upload the required photograph, signature and supporting documents in the prescribed format before paying the application fee.
- Submit the form and retain a printed or digital copy of the confirmation page and registration number.
- To check the CBT-2 result, open the regional result link and search the shortlist PDF for the roll number. Use the registration number and date of birth or password to download the individual scorecard when the login window opens.

Salary & Benefits
Selected candidates will receive pay under the 7th Central Pay Commission, based on the level attached to the allotted post. Initial basic pay generally ranges from ₹29,200 to ₹35,400 per month for the notified graduate posts.
