Overview

The Railway Recruitment Boards have declared the RRB NTPC Undergraduate CBT 1 Result 2026 under CEN 07/2025 on 24 August 2026. The recruitment drive aims to fill 3,058 undergraduate-level vacancies across posts such as Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Clerk cum Typist and Trains Clerk.

Candidates can check their qualifying status through the zone-wise result PDF issued by the RRB where they applied. Individual scorecards and category-wise cut-off marks are available through the candidate login facility.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board.
  • Applicants are generally required to have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in Class 12, subject to the exemptions provided in the detailed notification.
  • The 50% condition is not insisted upon for eligible SC, ST, PwBD and ex-servicemen candidates, as well as candidates possessing qualifications higher than Class 12, where applicable.
  • Typing proficiency is required for Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Clerk cum Typist posts.
  • Candidates must have possessed the prescribed qualification by the eligibility cut-off date mentioned in CEN 07/2025.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • Maximum age: 30 years, calculated as per the cut-off date in the notification.
  • OBC-NCL candidates are eligible for up to three years of upper-age relaxation.
  • SC and ST candidates receive up to five years of relaxation.
  • PwBD, ex-servicemen and other notified categories receive relaxation under applicable railway recruitment rules.

Fees

  • General, OBC and EWS candidates: Rs 500.
  • SC, ST, PwBD, ex-servicemen, women, transgender, minority and economically backward class candidates: Rs 250.
  • Eligible candidates who appeared in CBT 1 receive the prescribed fee refund after deduction of applicable bank charges.
  • The fee was payable online through the payment options available on the application portal.

Selection Process

  1. Computer-Based Tests: Candidates first appear for CBT 1. Those meeting the zone-wise and category-wise cut-offs are shortlisted for CBT 2.
  2. Skill Test, where applicable: A Typing Skill Test is conducted for Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Clerk cum Typist posts. It is qualifying in nature, subject to the recruitment rules.
  3. Document Verification and Medical Examination: Candidates clearing all applicable stages must produce original certificates and satisfy the prescribed railway medical standards before appointment.

The CBT 1 result PDF normally contains the roll numbers of candidates provisionally shortlisted for the next stage. Final selection is not guaranteed merely by inclusion in the CBT 1 merit list.

  2. Open the link for CEN 07/2025 — NTPC Undergraduate Recruitment.
