Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates are generally required to have passed Class 10 with ITI or an equivalent technical qualification, or Class 12, depending on the pay level and post notified by the railway.
  • Applicants must possess a degree, diploma or certificate in the relevant cultural discipline from a recognised institution.
  • Evidence of participation, awards, performances or proficiency in the prescribed cultural field may be required.
  • The detailed notification will specify whether minimum marks are necessary in Class 12 and whether any relaxation is available for reserved-category candidates.
  • Educational and cultural qualifications must ordinarily be completed by the prescribed eligibility cut-off date.

Applicants should note that a Class 10 certificate alone may not be sufficient where the post requires ITI, Class 12 or another specified qualification. All certificates must be valid and available for verification.

Age Limit

  • The minimum and maximum age limits will be provided in the detailed notification.
  • Age will be calculated as on the cut-off date prescribed by RRC NCR.
  • Relaxation in the upper age limit may apply to SC, ST, OBC and other eligible categories under prevailing railway recruitment rules.
  • Candidates claiming relaxation will need to produce a valid category or eligibility certificate in the prescribed format.

Fees

  • The category-wise application fee has not yet been confirmed.
  • Any fee must be paid through the online payment options available on the application portal.
  • Concessional fee or refund provisions, if applicable to women, SC, ST, PwBD, minority, economically backward or other candidates, will be explained in the notification.
  • Bank charges or transaction fees may be payable separately.

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination: Eligible applicants may be required to take a written test covering general awareness, reasoning, arithmetic and railway-related or general subjects. The examination pattern, duration and marking scheme will be notified separately.
  2. Cultural Talent Assessment: Shortlisted candidates are expected to undergo a practical demonstration, performance test or assessment in the cultural discipline for which they applied. Relevant certificates and documented achievements may also carry weight.
  3. Document Verification and Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify in the assessment stages will be called for verification of original documents. Final appointment will be subject to satisfying the prescribed railway medical standards and other eligibility requirements.

Merely appearing in any selection stage will not guarantee appointment. Final merit will be prepared under the criteria stated in the official notification.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official RRC Prayagraj website and open the recruitment or notices section.

  3. Read the eligibility rules, cultural disciplines, vacancy distribution, age conditions and document requirements carefully.
  4. Select the online application link and complete registration using an active mobile number and email address.
  5. Enter personal information, educational qualifications and cultural credentials exactly as recorded in the supporting certificates.
  6. Upload the required photograph, signature, qualification certificates, cultural certificates and category documents in the prescribed size and format.
  7. Pay the application fee, if applicable, and check the payment status before final submission.
  8. Preview the completed form, correct any errors and submit it before the deadline. Download the confirmation page and retain a copy of the application form and fee receipt.

Candidates should avoid making multiple applications unless the notification expressly permits them. Incorrect information, unreadable documents or an application for an unnotified cultural discipline may result in rejection.
