Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or equivalent institution.
  • Those awaiting their final degree result must possess the required qualification by the cut-off date stated in the detailed notification.
  • Male candidates applying for the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police must possess a valid driving licence for a light motor vehicle, including motorcycle and car, by the date fixed for the physical test.
  • Candidates without the required driving licence may remain eligible for CAPF posts, subject to all other conditions.

Age Limit

  • The standard age requirement is expected to be 20 to 25 years as on the cut-off date specified by SSC.

Selection Process

  1. Computer-Based Examinations: Eligible applicants will appear for Paper I covering general intelligence and reasoning, general knowledge and awareness, quantitative aptitude, and English comprehension. Candidates qualifying at this stage will proceed to the physical tests.
  2. Physical Standard and Endurance Tests: Shortlisted candidates will undergo the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET). These stages assess height, chest measurements where applicable, running, long jump, high jump and other notified physical requirements.
  3. Paper II, Medical Examination and Document Verification: Candidates clearing the physical stage will take Paper II in English language and comprehension. Final stages include document verification and a detailed medical examination. Merit will be prepared under the rules and qualifying standards prescribed by SSC.
