Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Class 10 (High School) or its equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 (Intermediate) or its equivalent from a recognized board.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 25 years
- Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and additional relaxation for ex-servicemen and other reserved categories.

Selection Process
- Written Examination — A computer-based test (CBT) carrying 300 marks, covering General Knowledge, General Hindi, Numerical & Mental Ability, and Mental Aptitude/Intelligence/Reasoning.
- Document Verification (DV) — Shortlisted candidates from the written exam are called for verification of educational certificates, age proof, category certificates, and other required documents.
- Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET) — Candidates must meet the prescribed physical standards for height, chest, and weight, followed by a running test (e.g., 4.8 km in 28 minutes for males; 2.4 km in 14 minutes for females).
