Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English.
  • Candidates must have qualified NEET UG 2026 and obtained the applicable category-wise qualifying percentile.
  • Applicants must meet the academic eligibility requirements prescribed for MBBS or BDS admission.
  • Candidates seeking West Bengal state quota seats must satisfy the applicable domicile and residency conditions.
  • Reserved-category applicants must possess valid caste, category or disability certificates in the prescribed format.
  • Eligibility will be checked during online verification and again at the allotted college.

Age Limit

  • The candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2026.
  • The applicable upper-age provisions, if any, will be governed by prevailing medical admission rules and court directions.
  • Date of birth must match the details recorded in the candidate’s Class 10 certificate and NEET UG application.

Fees

Selection Process

  3. Reporting and admission: Allotted candidates must download the allotment letter, pay the required fee and report to the designated college with original documents. Unfilled seats will move to subsequent rounds, including Round 3 and the stray vacancy round.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official counselling portal at wbmcc.nic.in and open the UG Medical and Dental Counselling 2026 section.
  2. Read the revised schedule, counselling rules, eligibility instructions and seat matrix before beginning registration.
  3. Select the new registration option and enter the NEET UG roll number, application number, date of birth and other requested details.
  4. Create login credentials and complete the application form using information that matches the NEET UG record and educational certificates.
  5. Upload or submit details of the required documents, including the NEET scorecard, admit card, Class 10 and 12 certificates, identity proof, domicile certificate and category certificate, where applicable.
  6. Pay the counselling fee through the available online payment method and download the confirmation page.
  7. After verification, log in during the choice-filling window and arrange preferred MBBS or BDS colleges in order of priority.
  8. Lock the choices before the deadline and save a copy of the submitted preference list.
  9. Check the allotment result, download the allotment letter and follow the reporting instructions within the notified period.

Candidates should not wait until the last day to register or lock choices, as payment failures and portal congestion may delay submission.
