Eligibility Criteria

The response sheet can be downloaded only by candidates registered for and appearing in AP TET 2026. The broad examination eligibility requirements are provided below; paper-wise conditions may change under the detailed notification.

Educational Qualification

  • For Paper I, covering Classes I to V, candidates generally need Senior Secondary or Intermediate with the prescribed marks and an approved elementary education qualification such as a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education, four-year B.El.Ed or another qualification recognised under applicable rules.
  • For Paper II, covering Classes VI to VIII, candidates generally require a bachelor's degree along with B.Ed, D.El.Ed, B.El.Ed or an approved integrated teacher-education qualification.
  • Candidates appearing in the final year of an eligible teacher-training programme may be considered where permitted by the official information bulletin.
  • Qualification requirements can differ by paper, subject and category. Applicants must verify the prescribed marks, recognition status and certificate conditions before registering.

Age Limit

  • AP TET is a teacher eligibility examination, and a separate upper age limit is generally not prescribed merely for appearing in the test.
  • Age limits applicable to future teacher recruitment drives will be governed by the rules of the recruiting authority.
  • Qualifying AP TET does not automatically provide appointment or exemption from recruitment-specific eligibility conditions.

Fees

  • The examination fee for AP TET 2026 will be confirmed in the detailed notification.
  • Payment, where applicable, must be completed through the authorised online payment facility.
  • Candidates applying for more than one paper should check whether a separate fee is required for each paper.
  • Bank charges or payment gateway charges may apply in addition to the examination fee.

Selection Process

AP TET is a qualifying examination rather than direct recruitment. The assessment and result process is expected to include:

  1. Computer-Based Examination: Candidates take the relevant AP TET paper at the allotted examination centre and time.
  2. Response Sheet and Answer-Key Review: Recorded responses and the provisional answer key are published online. Candidates may challenge eligible questions within the prescribed objection period by submitting supporting evidence and paying any applicable fee.
  3. Final Answer Key and Result: Subject experts examine objections before the final key, scores and qualifying status are released. AP TET qualification alone does not guarantee a teaching post.

How to Apply

Candidates who have already appeared for the examination do not need to submit another application to access the response sheet. They can download it by following these steps:
