Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Applicants were required to satisfy the academic conditions prescribed for the Assistant Professor Psychology recruitment:
- A master’s degree in Psychology or the relevant/allied subject from a recognised university with at least 55% marks, or an equivalent grade.
- Knowledge of Hindi or Sanskrit up to Matric standard, or Hindi as one of the subjects in higher education, as specified in the recruitment rules.
- Qualification in UGC NET, CSIR NET, SLET or SET in the relevant subject.
- Candidates holding an eligible PhD degree could claim exemption from NET/SLET/SET subject to applicable UGC regulations and the conditions stated in the detailed advertisement.
- Degrees obtained from foreign institutions were required to carry the prescribed equivalence from the competent authority.
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 21 years.
- Maximum age: 42 years, calculated on the cut-off date specified in the advertisement.
- Upper-age relaxation was applicable to candidates from reserved categories, persons with benchmark disabilities, eligible government employees, ex-servicemen and other categories under Haryana government rules.
- Candidates were required to provide valid certificates to claim any age relaxation.

Selection Process
The HPSC Assistant Professor selection procedure generally consists of the following stages:
