Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Applicants must possess a graduation degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
- The degree must have been completed within the cut-off period prescribed in the detailed recruitment notification.
- Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the state or Union Territory for which they applied.
- Proof of language proficiency may be established through Class 10 or Class 12 certificates showing that the relevant language was studied as a subject.
Age Limit
- The minimum age prescribed for applicants was 20 years.
- The maximum age for unreserved and EWS candidates was 28 years, calculated as of the cut-off date in the notification.
- SC and ST candidates were eligible for an upper-age relaxation of five years.
- OBC candidates from the non-creamy layer category were eligible for three years of relaxation.
- PwBD candidates were entitled to age relaxation under applicable government rules.
Fees
- General, OBC and EWS candidates: ₹944, including GST.
- Women, SC and ST candidates: ₹708, including GST.
- PwBD candidates: ₹472, including GST.
- Bank charges or transaction charges, where applicable, were payable separately by the candidate.
Selection Process
- Online Written Examination: Applicants were assessed through an objective online test covering relevant aptitude, reasoning, numerical ability, English and banking-related subjects.
- Test of Local Language: Candidates were required to demonstrate proficiency in the language of the state or territory selected in the application. Eligible candidates with supporting school certificates could receive an exemption as permitted by the notification.
- Document Verification and Medical Fitness: Provisionally selected candidates must present original certificates and satisfy the bank’s medical fitness requirements before final engagement. Inclusion in the provisional list does not automatically guarantee appointment.
