Candidates must rely on the date and shift printed on their admit card. Requests for a change in examination date, shift or centre are generally not accepted once allotted.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility differs depending on the post selected by the candidate. Applicants must satisfy the qualification, age and other conditions specified in the detailed recruitment advertisement.

Educational Qualification

  • Technician-B and Draughtsman-B: Class 10 or SSLC pass with an ITI, NTC or NAC certificate in the relevant trade from a recognised institution.
  • Technical Assistant: First-class diploma in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognised board or institution.
  • Scientific Assistant: First-class bachelor’s degree in the relevant science subject or discipline.
  • Library Assistant-A: Graduate degree along with a master’s degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science.
  • Pharmacist-A: Class 10 or equivalent qualification with a diploma in Pharmacy and valid registration, as prescribed in the recruitment notice.
  • Candidates must produce original educational and professional certificates during document verification.

Age Limit

  • The minimum and maximum age limits are post-specific and will be calculated as on the cut-off date mentioned in the original advertisement.
  • Upper-age relaxation is applicable to candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories under Central Government rules.
  • Date of birth recorded in the Class 10 certificate will normally be treated as final.

Fees

  • The exam-date notice does not announce any separate fee for appearing in the CBT.
  • Application fees, exemptions and refund conditions are governed by the original recruitment notification.

Selection Process

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official VSSC website at vssc.gov.in.
  2. Open the Recruitment or Careers section available on the homepage.
  3. Locate the relevant 2026 CBT exam schedule notice for the Technical Assistant, Technician-B and other advertised posts.
  4. Download the schedule PDF and search for the post code, advertisement number or discipline mentioned in the submitted application.
  5. Note the examination date, reporting time, shift and instructions provided in the notice.
  6. When the admit card link is activated, log in using the registration number, email address or other required credentials.
  7. Download and print the admit card. Verify the candidate’s name, photograph, post, examination centre and reporting time.
  8. Carry the admit card, an original government-issued photo identity card and any other document specified in the instructions to the examination centre.
