  • Field Assistant: Applicants must have the notified school-level or higher secondary qualification, including the required subjects where applicable.
  • Wildlife Guard, FPF Guard and Social Forestry Worker: Candidates must have passed the prescribed minimum school examination from a recognised board.
  • Shortlisting for PST/PET is provisional and does not confirm final eligibility.
  • Candidates whose documents do not support the information submitted in the application may be disqualified.

Age Limit

  • The applicable age limit will be determined under the category-wise rules mentioned in the original advertisement.
  • Relaxation for SC, ST, reserved categories, ex-servicemen and other eligible groups will apply under Jammu and Kashmir government rules.
  • Date-of-birth proof must match the details entered in the online application.

Fees

  • No separate fee is generally required for appearing in the PST/PET after shortlisting.
  • The application fee, where applicable, was payable during the original online application period.
  • Candidates should not make payments through unofficial links or individuals claiming to arrange selection.

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination and Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted post-wise and category-wise on the basis of written-test merit, applicable cut-offs and the ratio prescribed by JKSSB.
  2. PST/PET: Shortlisted candidates must satisfy the notified physical measurements and complete the endurance events within the prescribed standards. Requirements may differ by post, gender and category.
  3. Document Verification and Final Selection: Candidates qualifying in the physical tests will be considered for document scrutiny and subsequent selection stages, subject to eligibility and merit.

The physical test is qualifying in nature unless the relevant recruitment rules specifically provide otherwise. Mere inclusion in the shortlist does not create a right to appointment.
