Eligibility Criteria

The KVS LDE/LDCE is a departmental examination. Eligibility is therefore determined not only by academic qualifications but also by the candidate’s current post, regular service, experience and other conditions prescribed under KVS recruitment and promotion rules.

Educational Qualification

  • For teaching posts, candidates are generally required to hold the relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree, along with B.Ed. or another prescribed teacher-training qualification, depending on the post.
  • For non-teaching posts, the required qualification varies by cadre and may include a bachelor’s degree, relevant professional qualification, computer proficiency or departmental experience.
  • Applicants must satisfy the post-specific educational and service requirements mentioned in the original LDE/LDCE notification.
  • Only eligible KVS employees who submitted their departmental applications within the prescribed period could appear in the examination.

Age Limit

  • The applicable age or service limits are governed by the relevant KVS departmental examination rules.
  • Relaxation, where permitted, will apply in accordance with organizational and Central Government norms.
  • Candidates should refer to the original post-wise notification for the cut-off date and detailed conditions.

Fees

  • The answer-key notice does not specify the original examination application fee.
  • Candidates should check the official notification for category-wise fee details, if applicable.
  • An objection-processing fee may be charged if KVS opens a challenge facility. Such a fee would normally be paid online and may be non-refundable unless the challenge is accepted.

Selection Process

The selection procedure for teaching and non-teaching departmental posts generally includes the following stages:

  1. Written Examination: Eligible departmental candidates are assessed through the LDE/LDCE written test. The released answer key enables candidates to review the provisional answers.
  2. Skill Test, Interview or Other Assessment: A further assessment may be conducted where the recruitment rules for a particular post require it.
  3. Document and Service Record Verification: KVS verifies educational certificates, departmental service records, experience, eligibility and other supporting documents before final appointment or promotion.

Final selection will depend on the notified qualifying standards, post-wise merit, available vacancies and fulfilment of all departmental conditions.
