The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will begin NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 registration on September 3, 2026, for eligible candidates seeking admission to MBBS, BDS and participating BSc Nursing courses. The final number of available seats will be confirmed through the Round 2 seat matrix, including newly added, vacant and upgraded seats across participating institutions.

Candidates should note that the National Testing Agency conducts NEET UG, while MCC manages online counselling for the 15% All India Quota and specified central, deemed and participating institutions.

The complete schedule for registration, fee payment, choice filling, choice locking, seat processing, result declaration and institute reporting must be checked when MCC publishes the detailed Round 2 notice. Candidates are advised not to wait until the registration deadline to complete payment and submit choices.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • The candidate must have qualified NEET UG 2026 and obtained the applicable qualifying percentile or revised cut-off, if any.
  • Applicants should have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English.
  • Candidates must satisfy the subject-wise, aggregate-mark and category requirements prescribed under the applicable medical education regulations.
  • Only candidates permitted under MCC’s Round 2 participation rules may register or submit fresh choices.
  • Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 should carefully review the upgrade, resignation and reporting provisions before participating in Round 2.
  • Admission remains subject to document verification, eligibility confirmation and medical fitness requirements of the allotted institution.

Age Limit

  • Candidates must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2026.
  • The applicable upper-age rule, if any, will be governed by the NEET UG 2026 information bulletin, prevailing regulations and judicial directions.
  • Date of birth must match the candidate’s Class 10 certificate and other official documents.

Fees

  • Candidates must pay a non-refundable registration fee and a refundable security deposit, wherever applicable.
  • Under the standard MCC fee structure, the registration fee has generally been ₹1,000 for UR candidates and ₹500 for SC, ST, OBC and PwD candidates applying for government/All India Quota seats.
  • For deemed university participation, the registration fee has generally been ₹5,000, with a refundable security deposit of ₹2 lakh. The security deposit for government seats has generally been ₹10,000.
  • Candidates must verify the final 2026 fee displayed on the MCC portal before payment, as the amount and refund conditions may be revised.
  • Processing charges or applicable bank transaction charges may be payable separately.

Selection Process

  1. NEET UG merit and eligibility: Candidates must qualify NEET UG 2026 and meet the applicable category, academic and institutional eligibility conditions.
  2. Registration, payment and choice submission: Eligible candidates must register for Round 2, pay the prescribed fee, and fill and lock their preferred colleges and courses within the notified window.
  3. Seat allotment and reporting: MCC will allot seats on the basis of rank, reservation rules, seat availability and locked preferences. Selected candidates must download the allotment letter, report to the institution and complete document verification and admission formalities.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the MCC website at mcc.nic.in and open the UG Medical Counselling section.
  2. Select the NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 registration link and read the schedule, scheme and eligibility instructions.
  3. Log in using the NEET UG roll number, application details and other requested credentials. New participants should complete registration before proceeding.
  4. Verify personal, category, contact and examination details carefully. Discrepancies should be resolved through the appropriate authority before seat allotment.
  5. Pay the applicable registration fee and security deposit online. Save the payment receipt and confirmation page.
  6. Open the choice-filling facility and arrange preferred courses and institutions in priority order. Candidates may add, delete or reorder choices while the window remains open.
  7. Lock the choices before the deadline. If MCC provides automatic locking, candidates should still save or print the final submitted choice list.
  8. Check the Round 2 allotment result and download the allotment letter if selected.
  9. Report to the allotted college with original certificates, including the NEET scorecard, admit card, Class 10 and 12 certificates, identity proof, category certificate, photographs and allotment letter.
