Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Applicants were required to meet the prescribed academic and computer proficiency conditions at the time of application. The principal requirements included:

  • Passed the Intermediate or Class 12 examination from a recognised board.
  • Possessed an O Level certificate in Computer Science awarded by DOEACC/NIELIT or an equivalent qualification recognised by the government.
  • Candidates holding an eligible diploma in Computer Science or a related computer qualification were required to satisfy the equivalence conditions stated in the recruitment notification.
  • Knowledge of Hindi typing on a computer was mandatory.
  • Candidates were required to achieve the prescribed Hindi typing speed, generally 25 words per minute, during the practical test.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • Maximum age: 40 years.
  • The relevant cut-off date and date-of-birth range were governed by the original recruitment advertisement.
  • Upper-age relaxation was applicable to SC, ST, OBC, persons with disabilities, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories of Uttar Pradesh under state government rules.
  • Reserved-category candidates were required to provide valid certificates in the prescribed format.

Fees

  • General, OBC and EWS candidates: ₹125.
  • SC and ST candidates: ₹65.
  • Persons with disabilities: ₹25.

Selection Process

The UPPSC Computer Assistant recruitment process comprises the following stages:

  2. Hindi Typing Test: Candidates shortlisted from the written examination must demonstrate the required typing speed and accuracy on a computer. The newly released result relates to this stage of the recruitment process.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the UPPSC website at uppsc.up.nic.in using a desktop or mobile browser.
  2. Open the recruitment or candidate activity section and locate the Computer Assistant examination notice.
  3. Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) process, if not already registered, using an active mobile number and email address.
  4. Sign in with the OTR details and enter the required personal, educational, category and communication information.
  5. Upload a recent photograph, signature and supporting certificates in the specified format and file size.
  6. Pay the applicable examination fee through the available online payment facility and submit the application.
  7. Download the final application form and fee receipt for future use.
  8. To check the typing test result, open the results section, select the Computer Assistant result notice and download the PDF. Search for the roll number using the PDF search function.

Candidates shortlisted in the result should keep their application form, admit card, photo identification, educational certificates, typing or computer qualification, caste certificate and other relevant records ready for verification.
